Year in Review Paper

Objective

 

This assignment was a paper wriiten on the events going on in a particluar year, for my year i chose 1963. In this paper i examined five important events and explained their signifigance. This research paper summarizes the most significant events from 1963 in American history, 1945-2003. My events were as follows:  

• Assination of then president John F. Kennedy

• Beatles released their first album, "Please, Please Me"

• Nuclear Test Ban Treaty

• Martin Luther King Jr's "I Have a Dream" speech / the march on washington

• Giddeon vs Wainwright court case 

Reflection

This assignment was somewhat challanging to complete. It isnt easy to sum up an entire year of american history by selecting five events from that year. I consider the year 1963 to be a year of change both good and bad, thats why i chose five of what I consider to be the most importantevents in 1963, in terms of change. This assignment taught me a-lot of stuff that i didn't know much about.
